Eclipse & Shadow — Bonded Brothers's Story
Eclipse and Shadow are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. These handsome brothers are estimated to be around 9 to 10 months old, are vaccinated and neutered, and are ready to find a quiet, patient home where they can continue learning just how good indoor life can be.

Before coming to True North, Eclipse and Shadow had gone through TNR. Someone later reached out to us about the boys and brought them into our care.

Once we got to know them, it became clear that returning them to life outside was not the right fit. They are simply too sweet, gentle, and passive to thrive on their own outdoors.

Both boys are still cautious around people. They like to watch what is happening from a comfortable distance and take their time deciding when they feel safe. They are not currently cats who enjoy being picked up or held, and their future family will need to be willing to let that trust develop naturally rather than rushing them.

They have already made wonderful progress, though, and we continue to see more of their personalities as they settle in.

One of our favorite things about Eclipse and Shadow is the way they interact with the younger kittens at True North. Even though they are barely out of kittenhood themselves, they have somehow become the unofficial dads of the cat room. They are incredibly gentle and patient with the little ones, are often nearby keeping an eye on everybody, and seem perfectly happy letting the babies climb around and carry on around them.

These two are closely bonded and take a lot of comfort from one another, so we are looking for a family who will welcome both Eclipse and Shadow together.

Their ideal home would be fairly calm, with someone who understands shy cats and will give them time to settle in without expecting instant affection. They may not climb into your lap on day one, but there is something incredibly rewarding about earning the trust of cats like these.

If you have room in your home and heart for two gentle brothers who simply need patience, stability, and a chance, Eclipse and Shadow may be the perfect pair for you.
