Eclipse's Story

Meet Eclipse — a gentle, sweet kitty with a thoughtful soul and a quiet charm all her own. Eclipse can be a little cautious at first, especially when it comes to handling, but she is incredibly tolerant and patient, even during care time. With gentle reassurance, her sweetness really shines through.

Eclipse has a rare skin condition called sebaceous gland dysplasia, which affects oil production in the skin and around the eyes. This means she needs simple, routine care like gently cleaning her eyes with saline and a cotton pad and occasional moisturizing baths. It’s very manageable, and she’s already used to her routine and handles it like a champ!

She enjoys calm playtime, cozy snuggles, and peaceful moments watching the world go by. Eclipse would do best in a quiet, stable home with someone who appreciates her unique beauty and is happy to provide a little extra TLC. In return, she offers gentle affection, quiet companionship, and a truly special presence.

All CCATS's adoptable cats and kittens have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, treated for parasites and have tested negative for FIV/FELV.

Ready to add some purr-fection to your life? Community Cat Advocacy Team - Springfield (CCATS)'s Adoption Policy
Adoption application must be completed, which includes an adoption contract. Applicants must agree to keep cats or kittens indoor only (with very limited exceptions). If applicants rent, we contact the landlord to ensure that they're allowed to have an animal(s), and we discuss the home layout and area's the cat(s) or kitten(s) will be able to utilize. While we always hope that anyone wanting to adopt is ready and able to - we try minimize negative outcomes with a thorough application review and following up on unclear questions.
