He had been with the man for nine years, so he was understandably confused at finding himself in an animal shelter with a number of other cats. We're a free-roaming shelter, and once cats have been in a room for a few days we open the cage so they can come and go as they please. Echo spent the first few weeks in his room (the Kool Katz room) on top of the big cage where he could see everything that was happening and still feel safe. As he has adjusted he's now coming down and sleeping on the cat trees like his roommates. Even when he was hanging out on top of the cage, he loved it when we would climb on a chair and pet him. He'd come over right away for some loving. He's a very sweet boy who just wants a forever home.
