Earlene's Story

Earlene is incredibly sweet, although she can be shy at times. She is estimated to be over ten years old, spayed, microchipped, and fully litter box trained. Our veterinarian noted that she has arthritis in her back knee, so she would do best in a calm home, preferably without young children, as she needs to be handled with gentleness.

Earlene does well with dogs. We have not yet tested her with other cats, although based on her quiet and steady demeanor, she does not seem overly concerned with other animals. She may have a bit of a “resting grumpy face,” but please do not judge her by her expression. Throughout all her treatments, including multiple flushes, pokes, and examinations, she never once showed aggression toward us or the veterinary staff. She has a truly sweet and patient spirit.

One important note is that Earlene has kidney disease, which is very common in older cats. She simply needs access to plenty of fresh water, as she drinks a large amount to help support her kidneys. With this increased water intake, she does visit the litter box more frequently.

Earlene fought for her life, and she never gave up. Will you fight to provide her with the loving home she deserves?

If you feel Earlene might be the kitty for you, fill out an application today!
