Dune's Story

Dune, affectionately nicknamed "Dunebuggy", is the textbook definition of a Velcro cat. This is surprising, considering his background. Dune began showing up at feeding areas in a neighborhood with an established colony. Feeders noticed right away he was not meant to be a street cat, he was extremely affectionate and walked around charming neighbors with his sweet orange boy face! After a few weeks, a space opened up in a foster home, and neighbors jumped on the opportunity to get him indoors. We don't know how someone could socialize him to this extent, just to let him fight for his life on the streets every day.

Now, he's been fully vetted including neutered, microchipped, vaccinated for rabies, FVRCP, and FeLV, is negative for FIV, FeLV, heartworm, giardia, and coccidia, and treated with flea meds and dewormer. He also got a full dental and now has great oral health!

Dune is ready to find a home where he can spend lots of time snuggling with his human family. His favorite thing in the world is being in a lap and being petted endlessly. He is playful now that he's feeling better. He has a generally laid back personality but he is not a big fan of dogs or other cats. He can coexist with other pets, but humans are definitely his favorite, so he would like to be a single cat household. He'd make an exceptional companion for a senior, or a family with children.
