Looking for the leader of the pack? It’s definitely Dumpling! This one-year-old boy is handsome, and he knows it! It didn’t take him long to acclimate to his foster home, with curiosity overtaking caution in no time at all. He now rules the roost with a confident, happy-go-lucky attitude and is completely unfazed by the hustle and bustle of a busy home; children and dogs don’t bother him in the slightest. Dumpling always wants to be right in the middle of the action and doesn’t mind being picked up. He has earned his lap cat status and loves tummy rubs! Dumpling is a high-drive foodie – he loves any and all treats. Because he is the leader of the “clean plate club”, mealtime is his favourite time of the day. Playtime is a close second, and he loves to play with pom poms, Nerf balls and pipe cleaners. The fishing toy with attachable lures has become one of his absolute favourites! He takes his job as litterbox cleaning supervisor very seriously, and loves to supervise while you clean it. Dumpling is a professional lap-warmer and will happily sit on your lap, your laptop, your book or your keyboard – basically anything you are currently looking at to ensure he has your full attention. With his thick coat and his constant need for cuddles, you will likely share some literal sparks of affection. He is a great sport about his daily brushing! Dumpling is great with other cats, dogs and kids. He would love to be adopted with one of his siblings*: Mochi, Udon or Soba. Dumpling came to us with his siblings from a home with too many cats. He is now ready to find his forever home at last! If you are looking for a professional lap-warmer, cuddly, leader-of-the-pack kind of guy to keep you company, then you will definitely want to meet Dumpling! As we often receive numerous applications for each cat or kitten, we will only contact applicants who best suit the needs of the cat or kitten. For example, if it is stipulated that the cat needs another cat buddy at home and you do not have one, you may not receive a response. Finding the best home for our cat or kitten is our top priority. Applications are not first-come, first-served. *If certain cat names are not listed, it is because they have been adopted.

Home at Last Rescue's Adoption Policy

Completed adoption applications are reviewed by an adoption coordinator and foster home. If suitable for cat/kitten, they will be contacted for a phone interview. A vet check is also done. If interview and vet check are satisfactory, a meet & greet (either virtual or in person, at discretion of foster) with foster home and cat is arranged. If is it determined to be a suitable match for both the adopter and cat, adoption is approved. Payments and contract are completed virtually and pickup is arranged.
