Duke's Story

Duke is a very sweet, but shy, playful boy, He's about 2 years old and is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped and FIV/FeLV negative. He is currently in a foster home in the Amnandale, NJ area with other friendly cats, an 10 year old child and a dog. He's learning to trust people. We have had him and his 2 brothers since they were little kittens- they all just have skittish personalities but are getting much better and will blossom in a patient, quiet home. He uses the litter box nicely and is a clean cat.

We recently took Duke to our vet for shot updates and an exam and the vet found a significant heart murmur that was not there on his original vet visit. So we're going to recheck the murmur in 6 months and see if it's still there. So he is still up for adoption, but whoever adopts him has to understand that he might have a heart condition and be able and willing to take that on. He currently has no symptoms at all. We know that's a big ask but hope there's a kind hearted family out there...

Our adoption fee for cats is $125 which includes all their vetting (done at our vet in Phillipsburg, NJ), spay/neuter, vaccinations, testing and worming.

For more information about Duke, please contact us at grrnewjersey@gmail.com.
