DUKE's Story

NEUTERED MALE
APPROXIMATELY 3-4 YEARS OLD

Duke is a handsome young boy with a silky black coat and a cute little tuft of white under his chin. He loves to greet and call for you with soft little chirps. Once he feels safe and settled, he enjoys being part of the household and simply being near his people.

Duke isn’t a long-cuddle cat, but once he’s comfortable he’ll let you pick him up for a quick snuggle and happily sit beside you on the sofa or curl up with you on the bed at night. He is a gentle, loving companion who really blossoms once he trusts you. He’s is a good eater and loves treats at anytime of day.

When Duke first meets new people or enters a new environment, he can be a little reserved, but he is a brave boy. He will take his time, observe what’s happening and make sure everything feels safe and then he will explore.

Duke is energetic and playful and loves toys, interactive play and wrestling with his stuffies. He would do well in a home where he gets plenty of playtime, attention and companionship. A good match would be in a quiet home with singles or a couple. Calm, older children/ teens might be ok. He would be ok with other cats if their temperament is a match. Being a bit younger, he still likes to play and chase with his feline friends.

He can be found during the day looking out a window overlooking the backyard where he can watch birds and enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of the outdoors. Or you will find him curled up near you. (He’s not fond of windows with busy street traffic.) A home with a catio would be a wonderful bonus—he’s recently learned how to use a cat door to access one!

With a little patience at the beginning, Duke will become your loyal, charming and loving companion.

Duke has been neutered, microchipped, dewormed, vet checked, and vaccinated. His medical records will accompany him upon adoption.

If you would like to be Duke's new family, please submit an application using this link: HTTPS://CRPAWS.ca/adoption If you are interested in more than one CRPAWS cat, include all their names on your application.

Every application is considered carefully by our small but mighty team of volunteers. We will be in touch as soon as possible, normally in 3 days or less.
