Have you always wanted a dog, but have a cat owner lifestyle? Or wanted a dog, but don't want to go outside to walk them when it's 100°+? Then Dufrense is the cat for you! We believe he's part Bengal due to his personality and size (he's a bit over 18lbs), but doesn't have the other common traits. Specifically, we *do not* believe that he produces fewer allergens like pure bred Bengals do. He also doesn't look like one, but he's still a gorgeous brown tabby and has the cutest white tip on his tail, so he's still very adorable. His personality is as big as he is and he's so wonderful it would be a disservice to him not to go into detail, so his novel is below.<br/><br/>He is: <br/>-Affectionate! He loves people!<br/>-He comes when he's called.<br/>-Playful! With people, other cats, and toys. He LOVES playing with people, but also entertains himself with toys.<br/>-Goofy! He will carry his favorite toys around while talking to them.<br/>-Chatty, but not annoyingly so. He has the silliest baby cat meow. He mostly talks to his toys, but if he accidentally gets locked out of the bedroom he will let you know with his little baby mews because he misses you.<br/>-He's drooly--like we said, he's like a dog. It's when he gets happy while being pet and who can blame him for wanting to focus all his attention on you, to the point where he forgets to swallow?<br/>-He's learning to walk on a leash, but we aren't sure if he will end up loving it or not. But he's adventurous and wants to be part of everything, so we think he'll really enjoy this in quiet areas.<br/>-He's EXTREMELY outgoing at home with his people. We aren't sure if he will be outgoing with strangers as the only ones he's met were loud, very excited kids and they scared him a bit. <br/>-He likes dogs! So if you have always wanted a cat, but are a dog person, he will fit right in! They just need to be tolerant of overly affectionate cats. <br/>-He LOVES other cats. If they let him, he'll be their wrestle buddy and after he is thrilled if they will cuddle him. He can be pushy, so he needs to go with a tolerant cat who won't hold his toddler antics against him. <br/>-He would do great with high school aged kids and up, but due to his personality he would not be a good match for young kids.<br/><br/>It is very important to note that he does have a Bengal personality as we mentioned. He does great in a normal home, but he tends to play rougher than a normal housecat and he needs to play and burn off energy to keep him being his very best self. He can also be a bit mouthy, but with redirections towards toys and keeping the energy calm when petting him, he does well. Mostly, he just needs people not to purposefully overstimulate him, but instead play with him appropriately and give calm cuddles. Luckily, he's a ton of fun to play with, so it's no trouble at all. <br/><br/>He does NEED to have a cat buddy in his home, however, because he had some early kittenhood trauma from being alone and won't be able to handle being alone again. <br/><br/>He had a pretty rough start in life, but is great now! He does get to breathing faster than a normal cat when playing and our vet said there's the possibility he may have mild asthma (x-rays weren't concerning), but as it doesn't affect his playing and his symptoms have never gotten worse, multiple vets now have not been concerned. <br/><br/>He is two years old and has stayed in foster longer than usual to ensure he has no ongoing issues from his rough start and due to his foster mom having some ongoing health issues. There isn't a single thing wrong with this sweet dog-cat and we know his new home will love him as long as they are looking for an energetic cat who wants all the love. <br/><br/>He is neutered; up to date on his distemper, rabies, and FeLV vaccines; FeLV/FIV negative; microchipped with free lifetime registration; healthy at his yearly vet exam; and comes with a complimentary vet exam to ensure he goes home happy and healthy! <br/><br/>His foster home is located in NW Gilbert and the adoption application can be found at linktr.ee/bottlebabykittens
