Dudly's Story
Dudly aka Tabby Boy If you don't remember Dudly's story he came to us 1/20/25 as a stray. His feeder was concerned that he had lost a significant amount of weight and asked if we could help. Dudly was skin and bones, covered in matted feces, had severe diarrhea, and an upper respiratory infection. We got Dudly to the vet where he was treated and neutered. At the time Dudly was very scared and seemed feral. One day I reached my hand into his kennel to get his bowl and he gave me a head bump. That's when he decided he in fact enjoyed the attention. Dudley has made great progress. He managed to clean all of the feces and matting off of him. He has doubled his weight. He is quite the talker and will let you know when he's ready to eat. If you approach him a little too fast he will hiss but if you give him a second he will start head bumping your hand and demanding to be pet. We feel Dudly is ready for his next chapter. This sweet boy deserves a home to call his own. *Dudly did test positive for FIV. He may have some occasional runny eyes and sneezing. He is estimated to be 8 years old, he is now fixed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and ready for his new home. **FIV cats can live in a home with other non-fiv cats as long as there is no fighting or deep bite wounds. We have not currently tested him with other cats or dogs. His demands : - a heated bed - plenty of wet food and churu - a cozy cubby to relax in - a quiet, calm home. Based on his demeanor we think that he had a home at one point but may have either gotten lost or left behind. His feeder had been feeding him for at least 3 years. Who is willing to give this sweet boy and chance? or even possibly foster him? Adoption application https://airtable.com/appORyt7en5g7OnBP/shr8EN7ftrkQZ4rzu
