Duckie's Story
Chicken and Duckie are bonded. They must be adopted together.

Duckie is a gentle, thoughtful boy who is still discovering how safe and kind the world can be. From his favorite cozy cardboard box, Duckie carefully observes everything around him, quietly inquisitive, alert, and always taking it all in before deciding to participate. While he may greet new situations with a soft hiss or a cautious pause, he never escalates and quickly settles back into watchful curiosity.

Food is Duckies best icebreaker. A shared Churu treat will coax him forward, and while he may accept a few tentative pets during snack time, he generally prefers to keep affection on his own terms. He enjoys sniffing fingers, investigating new scents, and calmly grooming himself once he feels settled. Duckie is shy, and his polite boundaries make him a very respectful little housemate.

Though confidence is still a work in progress, Duckie does enjoy play, especially when it involves soft toys sprinkled with catnip. He may not dive in with wild abandon like his brother Chicken, but his quieter, thoughtful play style shows his growing comfort. He's especially encouraged by Chickens bravery and will often peek out of his box to see what fun is happening nearby.

Duckie would do best in a calm, patient home with someone who understands that trust takes time and that love does not always look like cuddles right away. With gentle consistency, tasty treats, and a peaceful environment, Duckie is sweet, sensitive nature will continue to bloom into a deeply rewarding companionship.
Please visit https://felinerescue.org/all-cats/ to learn more about me and where I am located!
