Duchess's Story

Meet Duchess, yes like royalty. One of Duchess's back legs is broken and healed incorrectly due to no medical attention, but don't let that fool you into thinking she's any less elegant than the next lady. Our wonderful vet determined her broken leg is not a hindrance (she actually uses it as a crutch!), and deemed she is able to keep the limb. Duchess gave birth to three rowdy babies WHILE nursing a broken leg—and if that's not a testament to her resilience, we don't know what is. This girl loves pets and affection from anyone willing to give it and she's more than ready to find a home she can call her own!!

SAINTS SPCA, INC's Adoption Policy
We appreciate your interest in adoption. The adoption fee is $75.00 for adults and $100.00 for kittens, which we identify as any animal under 1 year. If your interested in adopting an animal listed please fill out our application provided online (click on adoption application button located on the right). Applications submitted are given priority over inquiries. Applications are submitted to adoptions@saintsspca.org or form can be printed and emailed as well. Some animals are available for adoption at PetSmart in Hammond, LA. You can visit pets during store hours to see if there is a connection. As always, we hope you find the perfect pet!
