Duccati's Story

Duccati and 5 other fearful kitties were taken into a busy shelter for TNR (trap, neuter, return). The shelter spent some time working with them but just didn't have the resources to socialize them. When Duccati was assessed at the clinic, he was scared but immediately started purring. The staff at the clinic felt the kittens just needed more time with and attention from people to adjust and asked to keep them at the clinic. Duccati quickly decided that people are great! He loves to play, soak up attention, and be around humans.

After graduating from the "Learning to Like People Academy," the clinic reached out to us for help finding these boys homes. Eventually, Duccati was moved in with the group of resident cats at the clinic who he acclimated to quickly and easily. He is a playful and social guy and will need a kitty friend in his forever home.

Being in a clinic setting, Duccati has seen dogs come and go and has remained cautious and hesitant about them. But, he would likely adjust well to a cat-friendly dog in his home. He's never been around children but would probably love them.

This sweet boy has spent his life: outside struggling for survival, then in a shelter, then in a veterinary clinic, now at PetSmart...he is ready to find the plush comforts of his own forever home!

With his happy personality and loving nature, Ducati would make a wonderful addition to just about any home.

*Please note that most of our kitties will only be adopted out in pairs or to a home with an existing cat or furry companion--depending upon what is best for them.

If you are interested in adopting Duccati, you can find our Adoption Application and more information about our adoption process at http://www.kittycrusaide.org/adopt.

Kitty CrusAIDe's Adoption Policy
All of our adoptable pets will be spayed/neutered, up-to-date on FVRCP vaccinations, including rabies if applicable, de-wormed, and microchipped, PRIOR to adoption. Our adoption fee is $150 for a single kitten and $225 for a pair of kittens. If you find a feline friend that you'd be interested in learning more about please visit our website at www.kittycrusaide.org to submit an application. All of our animals are in private foster homes so our adoption process is 100% online. First your application will be screened and a short 15-20 minute phone interview will take place. Then one or several virtual meet & greets will be set up to introduce you to kittens that you're interested in and we feel may be a good fit for your home. A virtual home check will take place before bringing your kitten(s) home to ensure everything is safe and set-up for them. Finally, you'll bring home your new best friend! Our cats/kittens are not "first come, first serve" and forever homes are always chosen based on the best fit for each animal.
