Drea, Caitlin & Richard (hoping for a miracle)'s Story
PLEASE SHARE and help us find a miracle home for this very special family.

Some animals come into rescue tightly bonded, and when that happens we search high & low for a that special someone who will keep them together.
This is one of those families. 💞

Mama DREA (B&W) is about 2 years old, and her story begins on the porch of a kind Good Samaritan who feeds outdoor cats. DREA showed up as a pregnant stray, searching for safety — and she found just enough of it to do the most important job of her life. Right there on that porch, DREA raised her babies and kept them safe until help arrived.

DREA is not feral. She’s far too friendly for that. She loves people, enjoys affection, and gets along just fine with other cats and dogs. She is the kind of cat who would slide right into almost any home and make herself comfortable.
Her adult kittens — CAITLIN and RICHARD — are not feral either. They simply didn’t have hands-on human interaction as tiny kittens, so they are shy with people. What they do have is a strong foundation of safety, love, and the best role model imaginable in their mom.

💗 CAITLIN, the beautiful calico, stays close to her mama. She doesn’t run or hide when people walk by or put food down, but she isn’t ready for pets yet. She watches carefully, learning from Mama DREA as she happily soaks up attention.

💙 RICHARD (mostly black) wants to believe. His foster mom can gently stroke his back while he eats or lays in his heated cubby, and even pick him up and give him cuddles — a huge step forward. Like CAITLIN, he just needs a quiet, patient home where trust can grow at his pace.

DREA is bonded to her kittens, and more importantly, they are very tightly bonded to her. We have always known we would be placing DREA & CAITLIN in a home together, but after observing their relationship with RICHARD, we know we have to try to find a home for all 3 cats together.

CAITLIN & RICHARD turned 1 year old in December 2025. They are shy, but not at all aggressive. All 3 cats are spayed & neutered, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, and have tested negative for feline aids & leukemia. They have also been dewormed.

They are being fostered in New Milford, CT in a home with multiple other cats and dogs and they are fine with everyone. They would do best in a quiet home with no small children.

Go to passion4paws.org/adopt to submit an online application to adopt a cat.

They are waiting and they are really special cats.
