Drake - Special needs, but your new bestie's Story

Meet Drake!

Drake is an extremely social and affectionate cat. He is confident, hilarious, and extraordinarily handsome. He loves to cuddle, play with feather toys, catnip, and be with his human at all times. As soon as you enter the door, Drake rushes to greet you and purrs instantly. He is very forward about wanting affection, and will make sure he gets it.

Drake has had a rough life before entering our rescue, and must go to a wonderful and doting home. He arrived with fight wounds, and has tested positive for FIV. Please read more about this virus here: https://veterinarypartner.vin.com/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=4951815. Drake had damaged teeth and has recently received a dental surgery to extract the painful teeth. Drake also does have Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy and should see a veterinary cardiologist as instructed. Here is information about this heart disease: https://veterinarypartner.vin.com/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=8661009&sx=321445153&n=1. Drake's adoption includes a phone consult with a NWAC volunteer veterinarian.

He does well with respectful dogs and other cats, and would love a feline friend to keep him company. He would likely love respectful kids and is very gentle and tolerent. He must be strictly indoor only for his health.

Please head to our website to fill out an application prior to setting up a meet. Once your adoption application is approved we will contact you to set up a meeting. https://www.nwac-oregon.org/cat-application

The $140 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchips, worming and flea treatment, current vaccines for their age, a negative FIV/FELV test, and a vet exam.

Northwest Animal Companions is an all-volunteer, non-profit, foster-home based rescue. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide the medical and physical needs of the pets in our care.
