Dragonfly's Story
Deagonfly is a sweet petite Manx cat looking for a very special adopter. Dragonfly tested positive for FeLV on the PRC test. Per our vet cats that are progressivley infected have a median survival time of 2-5 years. From Dragonfly’s foster mom:

“People keep asking why I am fighting so hard for Dragonfly. I have even doubted myself. Am I doing the right thing? Am I fighting too hard? There is an unfair stigma attached to FeLV+ cats. I once shared the same feelings others have when they hear FeLV+. My first thought was death sentence. But it isn't. Yes, you can't house negative and positive cats together. It is very contagious.

Then I met little Dragonfly. She had a rough time while she was pregnant. Now her personality is blossoming. She is so funny, sweet, and playful. This is the reason I want her to find her happy ending that every cat deserves. She would be perfect for the person that only wants one cat. There has to be someone out there that is her person. This is the true Dragonfly.”

We are praying to find a home or longterm foster with other positive cats or as an only cat for Dragonfly. We understand people would be reluctant to take on a cat that has a shorter life expectancy, but we believe Dragonfly deserves a chance. Check out a video of dragonfly posted on ECAH Facebook on 9/14. If you are interested in Dragonfly, please fill out an adoption application on our website.
