Dracula is a curious, playful, beautiful 1-year-old. He has come a long way from how he was found with his colonymates, skin-and-bones and hair full of mats. This rough start left him a cautious and protective boy at first, but his hard shell has been cracked over the weeks in foster and has shown a sweet, goofy boy inside. The key to his heart is through play. He loves tunnels and toys attached to a rod and string so he can show off his talented skills of hiding, running, and pouncing. Although he is still somewhat cautious with humans, his foster thinks he will be a very playful and affectionate housecat once he is fully out of his shell. So far, he lets his foster pet his head from time to time, but at the moment prefers to be the one in charge of the touching—often "grabbing" his foster's hand with his paw and bringing it to his face to smell, lick, and give very gentle love bites. His foster knows he is just on the cusp of giving in to the pets! Much like his name, at night Dracula comes alive, challenging his colonymates to play wrestling matches and parkour competitions around the foster room! His spurts of energy make him a rough-player at times but is also a perfect gentlemen, walking away when his colonymates occasionally tell him they've had enough. His history has left certain character traits on him for now as he is all about the food! This makes him both quicker to warm up to humans as he is very food-motivated and also a little bold at mealtimes since he is still learning to slow down and trust that his next meal is just around the corner. When mealtime is over, he is back to his serious yet goofy self. When his humans are around, he often walks around the foster room, lets calm humans approach him, and come when called if food is offered. As he is still shy, he is not ready yet to be picked up and would like a family that is calm and patient to continue bringing him out of his shell.
