Dottie's Story
Everyone, meet Dottie!
She got her name from the sweet black dot on her precious little heart-shaped nose—don’t you just want to boop it?

Kids: No thank you
Cats: Yes, please
Dogs: Maybe

Dottie was brought to our attention by a good Samaritan who spotted what they described as a small, dirty kitten they hadn’t seen in the area before. They weren’t able to approach her, so we called in the trusty help of a VOKRA trapper who volunteers her time supporting stray and feral cats. With patience and care, this wonderful trapper managed to safely bring Dottie in and contact us.

At first, little Miss Dottie was very worried, and it was hard to tell if she was truly feral. It turns out she’s actually a total lovebug—she adores being touched and is quite the purring machine! While she is still fearful of loud noises and quick movements, she warms up quickly when she sees other cats interacting with people. Because of this, we think she’d thrive in a home where she can be the best cat sister ever.

Dottie would do best in an adult-only home due to her noise sensitivities. She could also do well with a calm, cat-experienced dog.

She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas, and SNAP-tested (negative). This sweet girl is officially ready for her forever home!

If you think your home might be the perfect fit, please fill out an application today!

Adoption form: https://www.newwestcity.ca/database/files/library/NWAS_Cat_Adoption_Application_2020.pdf

Petfinder profile: https://www.petfinder.com/cat/dottie-79699909/bc/new-westminster/new-westminster-animal-shelter-bc105/
