Dory's Story

Dory - Female (3ish months)
Hi, I’m Dory with a quiet spirit and a big heart. Found outside battling an upper respiratory infection and covered in fleas, she’s already proven how strong and resilient she is. Now healthy and safe, she’s learning that indoor life can be pretty wonderful — especially when wet food is involved!
She loves to play, particularly with automated toys she can chase and explore at her own pace. She’s a shy kitten who prefers observing the world rather than being the center of attention. She isn’t cuddly or attention-seeking, but she thrives in calm environments where she can feel safe and independent.
She would do best in a peaceful home without dogs or young children, where she can settle in slowly and build confidence on her own terms.
She shares a special bond with her best friend, Nemo, who helps her feel secure, so ideally they would be adopted together.

Dory is spayed, microchipped, FVRCP vaccinated, and has tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

!!! Completion of the application and interview process does not guarantee an adoption approval or guarantee the adoption of a particular cat or kitten. Desert Paws Rescue is a privately run, all-volunteer, non-profit organization and reserves the right to refuse any adoption that is not in the best interest of the cat or kitten, based on our principles, policies, and standards. Desert Paws Rescue will determine the best home for each cat or kitten based on the application and interview process. After review of the adoption consultation form and the completion of the interview with a Desert Paws representative, Desert Paws Rescue may recommend a different cat or kitten that is more suitable to your household.
