DORRY's Story

COURTESY POST FOR JC CATWATCH
323+683-00(3
JCCATWATCH@GMAIL.COM

Meet Dorry, she was found in the street in Hoboken in June 2020 by an elderly man who had recently lost his dog. His wife passed away in 2013, so he was all alone. This beautiful cat helped ease his loneliness. He named her Dorry after his late wife’s maiden name. Unfortunately, Dorry’s owner is in a nursing home due to Alzheimer’s.

Dorry found a new home in July 2025. The couple who took her are amazing and have done everything they can to give her a loving home, but she is not doing well due to being around other cats. She has been very aggressive with one of their cats, and it is becoming too dangerous for all of them.

Dorry has all of her shots and is fixed. The vet thinks she has bengal in her, she’s got cute little limbs and is a little chunky. She is loving and affectionate and wants to sleep on top of her owner! However, she does have anxiety and it seems as though she needs to be around people more often than alone.

The family are all heartbroken that it’s not working out in her new home and really want to find her a loving and patient home. The owner doesn’t remember much but he often says he misses his cat and would want her in a happy in a loving home.
