It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.


The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old.


DORATHIA and her 2 siblings (ELOISE - MERCURIO) were saved from a backyard in Gardena, California. We were notified by one of our TNR independent rescuers' that there was a mama with 4 kittens living there. They were being hunted by neighborhood dogs and coyotes. So we acted fast! She trapped mama and got her into a safe home with a neighbor who cared for her. We got the 3 kittens and the other little guy went to another rescue as he was trapped later.


Unfortunately in rescue no matter how fast we act sometimes, we cant save them. Our boy MERCURIO passed away unexpectedly, a week after he was rescued. And because of it, we noticed that the girls are very connected. We can't say bonded because we have never separated them.


Meet DORATHIA, a shy and gentle young adult with a heart as soft as her fur. This lovely lady prefers the cozy corners of her domain, where she can observe the world from a safe distance. But don't let her reserved nature fool you—underneath that demure facade lies a heart of gold waiting to blossom in the right home. DORATHIA is a master of the art of hiding, finding the most ingenious spots to tuck herself away. She's not one to seek out attention, but she'll tolerate gentle pets and may even allow herself to be scooped up if approached with patience and care.


Despite her initial timidity, DORATHIA's true joy shines when she's in the company of her sister ELOISE. These two are companions, sharing playful antics and secret sisterly chats that only they understand. DORATHIA finds comfort and confidence in ELOISE's presence, and they make the perfect pair for anyone looking to add a double dose of feline love to their home.

ADOPTION PROCESS:

2. Fill Out Online Form
3. Submit Online Application
4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview
5. Will be notified of Approved Application
6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED)
7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty
8. Sign Adoption Contract
9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH)
10. Take the Kitty Home

MAY 2024: VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees.


Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is between 4 pm - 9 pm. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please call the PetSmart location, email us or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3-hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability.

The kitties at a foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below.

The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the phone interview and home check have been done.. Gas donations are always appreciated!

If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.


Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.


We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient.

We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS.
