DORA - LOOKING FOR A COUCH BUDDY FRIEND's Story

Estimated Date of Birth: 8/20/25

If this listing is active on Petfinder, this kitty is still available. If you are interested in this kitty, Please fill out an application on our website at

https://ffar.wufoo.com/forms/application-to-adopt-a-cat-from-ffar-plano-tx/

Responding to Petfinder is not a completion of an application. We do not adopt out of a local adoption area. Inquiries that ask questions listed in this bio may not be answered - the foster is a volunteer and has a heavy work schedule (to pay the bills for fostering) and has tried to answer the common questions that are received so that information is available to adopters. Pictures of this kitty were current as of 1/11/26

Dora was brought to the shelter as a baby and because she was so scared she was considered unadoptable. Fortunately she found a foster and has blossomed in foster care. Dora does need a little bit of time to decompress in new situations. Once she does she is a total love. She is extremely affectionate. We had a hard time taking her pictures because all she wanted was to be petted. She has a nice play level- fun but not too much. She's been allowed to sleep on the bed in her foster home so she is a bit spoiled in that regard. Dora's adopter must have another kitty in the household to be her companion. Dora has not had dog exposure so if there is a dog in the household a slow introduction should let her adjust. Darla is good with her kitty box.

Anyone interested in our cats will be required to fill out an adoption application. To fill out an application on line, just go to www.furryfriendsanimalrescue.org and click on the Adoption Application link. All our cats will be spayed or neutered, microchipped and current on vaccinations. We do ask for a $180 adoption donation.

Foster Homes are needed in order to help more animals like this one. Please consider opening your heart and home to a homeless animal. Check out our website on how to become a Foster Parent! Visit www.FurryFriendsAnimalRescue.org and look under HOW TO HELP. Furry Friends provides veterinary care - you provide the home and love!.

We also need Volunteers for Adoption Events at Petsmart and Cage Cleaners.
