Doo's Story

Meet Scooby & Doo!

Scooby and Doo are a bonded duo looking for a home where they can stay together and continue their favorite adventures. These two are expert toy destroyers and cardboard scratcher demolishers, but they put their talents to good use by reliably using their cat scratchers-especially if they're horizontal!

Like any good mystery-solving team, Scooby and Doo take a little time to get to know new people. Once their human earns their trust, they'll happily accept plenty of attention in the form of wand toy play sessions, tasty treats, pets, and brushing. They enjoy interacting with their people and building strong bonds at their own pace.

Doo is the more confident of the pair and is often the first to check out something new. Scooby is a bit more sensitive and skittish, preferring to have a safe retreat where he can relax when things feel overwhelming. With patience, understanding, and a cozy hiding spot, Scooby's sweet personality shines through.

Together, Scooby and Doo make a wonderful pair-playful, entertaining, and affectionate companions who will reward your patience with trust, love, and plenty of laughs.

Scooby and Doo would thrive in a calm, patient home that understands trust is earned, not rushed. Their ideal family will give them time to settle in and let them build confidence at their own pace. Once they've decided you're part of their inner circle, they'll happily reward you with affection, playtime, and companionship.

Because Scooby is the more cautious sibling, their home should include quiet spaces and cozy hideaways where he can retreat when he needs a break. Cat trees with enclosed cubbies, covered beds, or quiet rooms where he can decompress will help him feel secure. Doo's confidence helps encourage Scooby, so keeping this bonded pair together is especially important.

A household with a predictable routine and people willing to let the cats set the pace for interactions would be ideal. With patience, understanding, and lots of enrichment, Scooby and Doo will blossom into loyal, entertaining companions who fill their home with personality, playfulness, and love!

All CSHS kitties are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, FIV/FeLV test (if not born in care), dewormed and microchipped.

If you are interested in Scooby & Doo please submit an application today! https://www.carverscotths.org/cats

Carver-Scott Humane Society's Adoption Policy
At the Carver Scott Humane Society, we follow an Adopter's Welcome philosophy. This means that instead of an overwhelming application process, home visits, and hoop jumping, we take a conversational approach to our adoptions. Our goal is to make adoptions possible and help you be a successful pet parent! Once an application is submitted, we take applications as "first-come, first-considered." While this does not guarantee that the first applicant will adopt the animal of their choice, it does guarantee that we will process the application all the way through before moving on to the next application in line. If you see an animal you are interested in, please apply as soon as possible! This does not obligate you to the animal in case you change your mind, but may assist in securing your place in line for that animal.
