Donna's Story
Meet Donna, a 2 year old girl with gorgeous eyes who may look like a seemingly ordinary cat but she has an extraordinary story!

Donna was rescued from a rough area when a neighbor noticed she had a pretty bad limp. We quickly discovered that she was almost completely feral, having spent her whole young life on the streets. We didn't feel right releasing her into an area with coyote sightings with a busted leg, so into her foster's bathroom she went!

With a lot of patience and love, Donna started to come around. With a combination of stinky treats, chin rubs, and regular meals, she learned enjoy life as an indoor cats. She became an expert at scamming extra snacks from her foster mom by being sweet and giving headbutts.

She is still a skittish and will need a family that will give her the time and love she needs to settle in and continue to blossom into her best kitty self. While it takes her a while to learn to trust, when she does, it's beautiful. It's still too soon to tell if she will ever be a cat that violates her human's personal space at every opportunity, but she is affectionate, and when she loves you, she lets you know.

The best home for Donna will have an outgoing cat or kitten that is looking for a new best friend. Donna has had a few playful roommates, and she absolutely comes alive when she has a buddy. If you hear thunder but don't see rain, don't worry, it's just Donna running circles around her room with a kitten. She has also met a small dog and could live with a respectful pooch, but it probably won't be her first choice of playmate.

Aside from needing a family that is willing to put in the work to help her feel at home, Donna is a pretty little gal. She has always been healthy, with the exception of a dental issue. When we took her to get her leg examined, it was determined that her previously fractured leg did not need surgical intervention, but we discovered she had Juvenile Periodontitis and needed all of her teeth extracted! But don't worry, she hasn't let that stop her from chowing down hard on both wet and dry food.

She has impeccable litter box habits and doesn't scratch up the furniture in her room. She prefers to play with other cats rather than toys, so she doesn't demand much from her humans besides ear scritches and on-time meals. She is spayed and up to date on her shots, so if you think you might be the right home for this sweet little girl, apply to adopt her today!

Donna is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, flea treated and FIV/FeLV negative.

*To apply for Donna, please visit catcallsrescue.org/adopt to complete an adoption application.
