Domi's Story

Domi, age 15, is one of four cats from SC. She, along with Mystery and Magic, was taken to FL by her owner who had a mental health crisis, resulting in the cats being taken into the custody of animal control. The woman's sister had the cats flown back to SC where they joined her cat, Mittens. Unfortunately, their beloved person died and a neighbor cared for the cats while she tried to find homes for them. Domi and Mystery were both moved to the same foster home. She is the only one still waiting for an adopter. Domi is a very sweet, loving girl with the best purr! While she lived peacefully with other cats, she is still hissy with the cats in her foster home. She wouldn't mind being the Queen!

Laps and Naps Home for Senior Cats Inc.'s Adoption Policy

Adopters download and complete an adoption application from our website and email it back to info@lapsandnaps.org. After reviewing the application, either the director or the animal care coordinator calls the potential adopter and conducts a phone interview. A home visit is sometimes conducted and, if the adopter is approved, arrangements are made for the adopter to meet the cat (s)he is interested in adopting. If it's a good match, the adopter pays the adoption fee, signs an adoption contract, and the cat goes to its new home.
