Dolly's Story

Meet Dolly- her story makes her resilience even more remarkable. Dolly was rescued after being thrown from—or falling out of—a car on the highway. Somehow, this sweet girl came through that terrifying experience and held onto her spirit, her curiosity, and her very strong opinions about life.
At six years old, this beautiful dilute tortie has perfected the art of being a confident, independent girl who genuinely enjoys her people. Dolly loves being part of the household and staying close to whatever her humans are doing. She’ll hang out nearby, brush against your legs, give you a head bunt, and strike up a conversation in her own unique kitty language. Dolly is a cat who doesn’t just live with you...she interacts with you.
Dolly can also be social with other cats and is perfectly capable of forming casual feline friendships. She enjoys having kitty companions around, but she’s also perfectly happy doing her own thing. At heart, though, it seems that her favorite relationship is with her human.

Please complete the online application at https://henryhumane.com/ if you are interested in adopting Dolly.

Henry County Humane Society's Adoption Policy
Our animals have been given age appropriate vaccinations, are spayed/neutered, dewormed and had capstar and/or frontline applied. Dogs are heartworm negative and microchipped. Cats are feline leukemia (Felv) and feline AIDS (FIV) negative. Pediatric spaying and neutering is performed on puppies and kittens as young as 8 weeks old. Potential adopters must complete an application including vet references. Fenced yards are required for large dogs and some smaller active breeds. ADOPTIONS ARE LIMITED TO THE METRO ATLANTA AREA. If you see an animal that you are interested in, go to henryhumane.com and scroll down to the middle of the page for the link to the application. This application does not commit you to an adoption. It is used to screen those interested to make sure the home is a good match for the animal. If your application is approved, one of our volunteers will contact you via phone or email.
