Dolly's Story

Dolly is a very shy girl who is still feeling overwhelmed in the shelter environment. Right now, she prefers to stay tucked away where things feel a little safer. We haven’t seen her out exploring just yet — she’s taking her time.

But here’s what we have seen: when given the chance for gentle pets, she seems to want to enjoy them. There’s a softness there. A quiet desire for comfort. She just hasn’t fully figured out that it’s safe to lean into it.

Dolly will need a calm, patient home where she can decompress and build confidence at her own pace. She would likely thrive with another friendly, confident kitty to show her the ropes and help her feel secure. Because of her sensitive nature, she would do best in a home without children or dogs.

Cats like Dolly don’t show you everything right away. They unfold slowly, in small, meaningful moments. And when they do, it’s incredibly special.

If you’re interested in Dolly, fill out an application at https://fourfootedfriends.org/adopt/
🐾💛
