Dolly's Story

Meet Dolly! She is looking for a forever home. Dolly found an electrician outside doing some work, asked to be pet, then followed him, jumped in his van and decided she was no longer an outdoor cat. Dolly is estimated to be about 1 year old, spayed, microchipped, and fully up to date on vaccines and other vet care. She has no known health concerns. Dollys ideal day would include sitting in a lap of a forever owner, snuggling, nursing on your sweater or a blanket, and as many snacks as shes allowed to have. While her history is unknown, its clear she may have had some trouble finding food, and can be a little food crazy. She may need a home willing to put snacks away in the pantry as she will jump on counters to get them. We are certain Dolly would be a wonderful addition to a home with no pets, unsure how she would do with other cats and dogs. We are pretty confident that if she is brought into a home with calm or senior dogs who are not too hyper with her that she will adapt well.
If you are interested in Dolly please fill out an application, she would like a forever owner to start snuggling with as soon as possible!

Dolly is located in Broadway, NC

Please fill out an adoption application at zoorescue.org

Prior to adoption all animals receive a medical exam by our veterinary team. Only after an animal has been medically cleared will it be available for adoption. Depending on the species they will receive core vaccines and treatment. Animals that are able to be spayed or neutered will be prior to being available for adoption. In some instances, because of the species and current veterinary guidelines, they will not be altered; however, the adoption contract will include a requirement that the animal is not to be used for breeding purposes. Process for adoption from Zoo REC is below: Step #1: Complete and adoption application on our website Step #2: Submit the adoption application Step #3: Adoption Specialist will contact you regarding your application Step #4: Schedule a home inspection if required for that species.
