Dizzy's Story

Hi there! My name is Dizzy! I am a sweet 8 month old cat looking for my furever family! I was found dumped at deserted truck stop in the middle of the desert with no one around. I was in rough shape and covered in wounds. Lucky for me, a good Samaritan let me jump into her car and she drove me almost 100 miles to safety where a rescue took me in! I am being fostered and have had the best reviewed from my foster parents! They say that I am a very friendly and polite girl, I don't scratch on furniture and I use the litter box 100% of the time!

If you clicked on my profile you probably noticed that I'm listed as "Special Needs," but don't worry, I promise that I don't let that slow me down!

I have a few abnormalities that are worth noting. The first is a lazy eye that EVERYONE thinks is SO adorable! Sometimes when I get tired, my eye tends to drift away. It doesn't have any effect on my vision or abilities, it just looks kinda funny!

The second thing that has landed me as "Special Needs" status is that I tested positive for FIV. This stands for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. This is similar to the Human version of HIV. This means that I am more vulnerable to illness and MUST be an indoor cat! The vet says that is it is very unlikely that the FIV itself will be fatal. Common illnesses such as upper respiratory infections will require antibiotics because my immune system is weaker than the average feline. I will also need to receive killed virus vaccines from the vet when I get my booster shots. ALSO, because FIV is contagious between cats, I will either need to be an only cat (dogs are ok!) or I will need to live with another FIV positive feline. Don't let this scare you, most cats with FIV live full and happy lives! I still have SO much love to give, I just need a special human who is willing to love me despite the fact that I might be a little different!

If you think that we might be the puuurfect match, send AZ Rez-cue a message so we can set up a meeting! I am a super sweet girl who is ready to brighten up your world! I cant wait to meet you!
