Dixie's Story

Say hello to Dixie! A 7 year old, female tabby cat. Dixie enjoys attention, but only when she decides it’s time. Think of her as the queen of the household, she’ll happily accept your affection when she’s in the mood, and when she’s not, she’s perfectly content to do her own thing, which is mostly likely take a catnap.

Dixie is an independent cat, she doesn’t cling, but she loves knowing you’re nearby. She would do well in a home with another cat, having lived with another cat previously. Dixie would thrive in a calm environment where her boundaries are respected, letting her retreat to a bed whenever she decides its time for another nap.

Dixie is looking for a forever home that understands her unique personality and appreciates her balance of independence and affection. If you’re searching for a cat who will keep you company while also respecting your space, Dixie might just be the perfect match.

Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
