Dill's Story

Dill has a lot to say and often says it LOUDLY. He lets us know when we're taking too long to make his dinner and when he'd like to be picked up by meow-screaming at us until we meet his demands. We find it charming! Dill loves to be held, loves to be fed, and loves to explore his space. Dill is high energy and hilarious.

Dill has some special needs that will require a special home. He was born as part of a litter of six in one of our foster homes on May 31, 2026. A few days after his birth, the foster home dealt with a feline distemper (FPV) outbreak. Three of the kittens, including one of Dill's brothers, died. Dill survived but his early exposure to the illness has left him with permanent balance and coordination challenges.

Dill would not pass a field sobriety test. He wobbles when he walks and falls over frequently. He runs, jumps, and climbs with enthusiasm but without regard for his safety. He has mastered solo litter box use but requires some extra stabilization during meal times. This boy is equal parts rough-n-tumble and a squish, so a family that loves snuggles and serious play time is a must!

Dill's family must be committed to keeping him safe. He will do best in a home with more carpet/rugs than wood floors. He needs something to grip onto when she walks! His current home also uses low entry litter boxes, special bowls for meals and bumpers around his bedroom. While he may get stronger as he grows, he will never outgrow his wobbles. His condition is not progressive and will not impact his lifespan.

Dill is adoption ready! He is up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, neutered and vetted. We would love to see him find a home with his sister Cardamom, but, if he is not adopted with his sister, he will need to go to a home that already has a kitten or young cat. Dill's adoption fee is $250.
