Diamond Jack is a soft, gentle soul with a powerful story of resilience. He was found with a large burn on his neck, an injury that clearly caused him significant pain before he came into our care. Through patient medical treatment, kindness, and time, his wound has healed and, just as importantly, his trust has been rebuilt.<br/><br/>Today, Diamond Jack is one of the sweetest and mellowest boys youll ever meet. He happily leans into pets once he feels safe and enjoys sitting in laps. His calm nature makes him an ideal companion for someone who values quiet connection and steady affection. Diamond Jack is relaxed around other FELV+ cats and would do best in a home with another FELV+ cat (we can suggest one!) and a person who understands how rewarding it can be to earn the love of a truly tender-hearted cat.<br/><br/>Diamond Jack is FeLV positive, but he is energetic and healthy. Because FeLV is a virus that weakens a cat's immune system, FeLV+ cats may have shorter life-spans, but cats like Diamond Jack who are diagnosed as an adult can live to be 10-15 years old. This virus cannot be transmitted to people, dogs or other non-feline animals, but can be transmitted to other cats via shared water and food dishes and grooming each other.
