Dexter

Dexter is living in a foster home! Fill out an adoption application to meet him!

This handsome boy is neutered and fully healthy! He's up to date on vaccines and microchipped!

Dexter is a friendly sweetheart. He loves gentle pets and is very good at communicating when he's had enough, so his ideal human will enjoy reading his body language and respecting his boundaries. Dexter is highly food-motivated and would be a great candidate for positive-reinforcement training-especially with cheese, shrimp, or chicken as payment! He takes his unofficial role as dinner-table security very seriously, patiently watching for any tasty morsels that might "rain" from above. When he's not on snack patrol, he loves scratching boxes, playing soccer with his puff ball, and sunbathing on the window ledge. He may not be a traditional lap cat, but he loves lounging and sleeping near his favorite people and being part of the family.

Litter Box Trained: Has excellent litter box habits

Unknown with Dogs: Has not been tested with dogs, so their compatibility is unknown. We would recommend a slow introduction with a way to separate the home for each pet.

Cat Friendly: Has spent time with other cats and likes to window watch and relax with them

Best with Older Kids: Would thrive in a home with older, cat-savvy children who can respect their boundaries.

Dexter's adoption fee is $100, and this cat can't wait to meet you!

Next steps: Email adopt@onetail.org with questions, or submit an application online and we'll be in touch to schedule a meeting: https://www.onetail.org/apply-to-adopt/. Our adoption application stays on file for one year and can apply to any cat in our program. Once the app is submitted you will receive an email within 48-72 hours.
