Dexter's Story

This kitten is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $100 if picked up in TN.* Visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/cat-adoption-application/ to apply.

Dexter is a happy, high-energy 4-month-old orange Domestic Short Hair kitten who’s full of curiosity and affection. Like the rest of his litter, he is extremely loving and truly enjoys being held and petted. When he’s not soaking up attention, you’ll often find him investigating his surroundings or getting into something adorable—like untieing shoelaces or playing with shoes. Dexter loves interactive play and really lights up when the laser pointer comes out. He’s also just starting to show interest in toy mice and enjoys romping around with other kittens. While he has a playful side, he’s also perfectly content entertaining himself when needed. He gets along well with other cats and enjoys their company, but he does not like dogs, so a dog-free home would be best for him. Dexter has no behavioral concerns and isn’t afraid of much—he’s simply a very inquisitive, confident little guy. Dexter would thrive in almost any loving home that can give him attention, playtime, and a safe space to explore. He’s a wonderful mix of cuddly and playful and would make a delightful companion for the right family.

* $175 plus transport fee (varies) for adoptions to the Northeast.

Interested in adopting? A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first!

Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption.
