Destiny's Story
Meet Destiny

Destiny is a petite 4 year old sweetheart weighing in at under 5 pounds. She may be small, but she's full of personality! This lovely girl is already spayed and up to date on all of her vaccinations, so she's ready for her furever home.

In her words (translated from cat language of course) "I came to Catmandu as part of a hoard of 200 cats from Douglas County. I was very sick with calicivirus, and my eyes had been badly damaged years before. My third eyelids were fused to my eyeballs with scar tissue, leaving me with only tiny pinpricks of vision. I was scared of people, hissy, and spitty—but the team here never gave up on me.
With lots of care, I got healthy again, and Dr. Sean even performed surgery to open up my eyes. Now, instead of peering through a tiny peephole in a curtain of blackness, I see a full world of wonder! I still have some scarring and permanent damage on one eye, but I can explore, play, and enjoy life in ways I never dreamed of. Best of all, I’ve learned that people aren’t so scary after all—I even love pets, attention, and chatting with my friends here."

Destiny can be a little shy at first, but once she feels safe her unique personality shines through. She likes to talk and will tell you stories once she is comfortable with you. She LOVES wet food! She'll do best in a patient, loving home where she can blossom at her own pace. With kindness and understanding, Destiny will reward you with her trust and affection.

If you would like to meet this special furball, please fill out the Online Pre-Adoption Questionnaire on our website, https://www.catmanducc.org/copy-of-adoption. Then come by Catmandu Friday through Sunday for a meet and greet and to talk with an adoption specialist. Adoption hours are 11am to 4 pm. Plan to arrive no later than 3pm so you have time to spend with the cats before adoptions close at 4pm. Please bring a carrier in case you find your purrfect friend.
Renters must bring a copy of their lease showing they are allowed to have a cat.
For more information on Catmandu, see bio.link/momcat
