Derecho's Story

Derecho
Short Haired Brown Tabby Neutered Male
Estimated Date of Birth 4/16/25

Hi, my name is Derecho (like the storm), and I am looking for my forever home!! I was found outside when I was about 2.5 ish weeks old with my three other litter mates. The good samaritans that found us didn’t want us to get eaten by other animals and so contacted Tigerlily, when our mom didn’t return. Our foster mom took us in, bottle fed us, and allowed us time to grow and develop into the playful kittens we are today. I currently love to cuddle in my foster mom’s lap, playing with crinkle balls, and playing with cat wand toys. I also enjoy scrolling through social media and videos while cuddling with my foster mom. I think I am being most helpful when I lend a paw to help with the scrolling. I also enjoy relaxing in the window and watching all the birds fly around. My foster mom’s house is fairly quiet and so I therefore would do best with either older or cat savvy children. Additionally, I would do best in a home with at least one other feline that I could rough house and play with, as I am used to having siblings. I have not been introduced to any dogs and can be a little skittish when getting used to new things. So please be patient with us if you are going to introduce us to one. I will bring a lot of energy and personality to my fur-ever home, please consider me.

Derecho is neutered, he has age-appropriate vaccines, has been microchipped, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and has been treated for parasites. His adoption fee is $125. Do you have the purrfect home for this handsome man? All current pets must be fixed and up-to-date on vaccines.

Fill out our online application to get approved for a meet and greet:
http://www.tigerlilyrescue.com/adoption-application/

Tigerlily Cat Rescue's Adoption Policy
* We do require adopters to be at least 21 years old. * If you are leasing, we do ask that you provide a copy of your rental agreement showing that cats are allowed. * We also ask that all adults living in the home agree with the adoption and addition of a feline friend to the family. * For families with young children (under 6), kittens over 6 months are best. * If the pet is to be alone for a significant amount of time, we ask that you consider adopting an older kitten or adult, or consider adopting two kittens to keep each other company. Young kittens are susceptible to social-depression if alone for a significant amount of time. * We also discourage "gift" adoptions unless it is from a parent to a minor child. Our adoption fee of $100 (cash/check) includes feline leukemia/FIV testing, deworming, flea preventative, microchip, and age-appropriate vaccines. All Tigerlily cats are thoroughly examined by a veterinarian. All cats and kittens are spayed/neutered prior to being available for adoption.
