Demi's Story

Meet Demi......a diminutive, long haired beauty who along with her housemates were dumped to the curb after their owner was evicted. We think they all suffered some neglect prior to the eviction but now in the care of Second Chance have been eating regularly, gained some weight, and are ready to find a loving, stable home.

Demi is a hugger. She wants nothing more than to be on your lap or hugging your neck or following you around. After she has secured a place on your being then she emits the most wonderful purr. Demi is very friendly and so very sweet. She loves attention and eagerly receives pets. She also has a playful side which she exhibits by chasing wand toys and balls. Demi has no fear and is happiest when someone is petting her. Demi appears to be deaf but there is no stopping this girl!

She is very comfortable around other calm, friendly kitties who would give her her space and not expect a play or cuddle mate so she could be part of a multi-cat household, however, she would prefer being your one and only!. Even though Demi is eleven years old, there is lots of love and wonderful companionship to be had with this little girl. She loves everyone she has ever met.

Demi would make an awesome companion for a single adopter or couple. Demi would also enjoy being adored by a family with older respectful kids. Someone who is at home and likes a constant companion would be ideal for Demi.

Currently this tiny dynamo is in foster care receiving some TLC. With an approved app, a visit can be arranged for you to meet her in her foster home.

Demi has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Demi has an approximate birthdate of 10/03/2014. Her adoption fee is $95.

If you are interested in Demi or any of the cats at Second Chance Cats of West Michigan, go to sccatswm.org/adopt to fill out an application, or stop in during open hours on Fridays from 11-2 or Saturdays and Sundays from 11-4.

Please note - we can only adopt to those who live within a one hour drive of Grand Rapids.
