Delores (AKA Dolly)'s Story

Dolores aka “Dolly” was brought into a shelter after her owner passed away. She was very skinny and her once long, beautiful coat was so matted that she needed to be shaved. She had also not been spayed yet, so that needed to be done. This might not seem like a big deal….except for that Dolores is 14 years old! Imagine losing your owner, being left alone without enough food and water, fur that is painfully matted, showing up in a strange place and then having surgery on top of it all! No wonder this senior lady needs some extra time to adjust! Dolly is showing that with a quiet and stable home she can be very friendly with humans. Cats? Not so much. Dolores is NOT cat friendly. Not even a little bit. She wants to be the queen of her castle. But after initial adjustment time in her new foster, she has decided to start coming up and cuddling and “asking” for pets. She has become much more outgoing now that she is out of the shelter setting. She is looking for a special hero who will let her live out the golden years she has left in a quiet and calm home. Dolores is a 14 year old long haired calico who is up-to-date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped, litter trained, and tested negative for FELV & FIV. Her adoption fee is $50.
