Delia's Story

Delia is a senior that is positive for FIV – Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. FIV is sort of like HIV because the kitty’s immune system is affected. FIV used to be a scary diagnosis, but cats with FIV can live normal lives, especially if they stay indoors and are spayed or neutered. They may not show signs of illness until they’re pretty old, or never. And they can live with other cats, as long as everyone is willing to get along. <br/><br/>Delia is currently housed with other senior rescues. We need sponsorship for Delia for her continued care. Hudson County Animal League (HCAL)'s Adoption Policy

All applicants will be asked to fill out a short application and meet with an Adoption Coordinator for an interview. We will also contact references. The meeting may be followed up with a home visit. When your application is approved, your new family member will be delivered to your home to finalize the adoption. Our Adoption Fee is $200.00 for adults and $250.00 for kittens.
