Delaney's Story
Delaney was an Old San Juan, Puerto Rico street cat. Friends of our rescue were there for a wedding and noticed, while most of the street cats seemed well-fed and healthy, there were two little individuals who were practically bald, malnourished and obviously not thriving. Smart cats, they followed our friends begging for help. The wonderful humans took them to a local rescue, got them checked out, and brought sweet Delaney home with them on the plane. Her companion had to wait for medical clearance, but he came too and has already been adopted! Three year old Delaney was a mess, huge patches of hair gone, probably from malnutrition, painfully thin and weak. But even at her worst her beautiful spirit came through. She was grateful for every kindness, loved her new, nutritious food, snuggled in her soft bed and loved any human who walked by. None of that has changed except now she has a gorgeous, fluffy, soft coat to compliment her large, beautiful eyes. Delaney is a sweetheart who enjoys other cats and will need at least one friend in her new home. She is a good eater, a perfect lady with her litter box habits and simply a nice, nice girl. If you are looking for a calm, gentle personality in a beautiful package, this is your baby.
