Deke's Story

Special home needed for a special orange boy Meet Deke (formerly Bean), connoisseur of naps, brushing sessions, and air kisses. My mother-in-law has been fostering Deke and patiently showing him that people can be safe and kind. Thanks to her care, he has made incredible progress and continues to grow in confidence every day.

Deke is a sweet, gentle cat with a fantastic purr. He loves affection once he feels comfortable, but he still needs a patient adopter who will allow him to adjust at his own pace. Because of his past, Deke needs to be the only pet in the home so he can feel secure and continue to thrive. He has done well with my calm, cat-savvy almost 9-year-old son. If he goes to a home with children, older or gentle children would be the best fit. Earning the trust of a shy cat is deeply rewarding, and Deke is the kind of companion who makes that journey worth it.

A few details about Deke: 6 years old Neutered Up to date on all veterinary care Deke deserves a home where he will be safe, loved, and well cared for throughout his life. We are looking for someone who understands the commitment of pet ownership and is willing to provide the time, patience, stability, and care every cat deserves. If you think you might be the right fit for Deke, please send me a message. Our hope is to find him a forever home where he can be cherished as a beloved member of the family.
