Dee's Story

Dee was surrendered to us after being in a home for 3 years. Her owner said they never wanted an inside cat :(<br/><br/>This girl is still getting used to the shelter environment, and hasnt showed us her full personality yet. She spends most of her time curled up in a tiny ball, but once she gets some attention she starts chatting away and rolling around. She doesnt really meow, more like little chirps. The Humane Society of Clinton County, Indiana's Adoption Policy
We require a "foster to adopt" program for all adopters, whether it be that the pet that you are interested in still has some medical work up to be done or whether we just want to give the pet time to adjust. An application is required to be filled out at the time of adoption. No appointment required to visit the animals during open hours. Upon finalizing adoption, each pet is current on vaccinations, altered, microchipped, FeLV/FIV test and/or heartworm tested. All animals over 7 years of age will have bloodwork performed at the vet. All known medical issues will be taken care of at the vet prior to finalizing adoption (dental cleanings, hernia repairs, mass removals, etc.).
