Decibel23's Story

Decibel was so pitiful when Purr Partners rescued him, with multiple issues such as hair loss from skin issues and was dangerously underweight from a stressful life trying to survive on his own. He was so happy to be rescued from his past life and has come a long way since then.

He is a big boy now at a healthy weight but not always confident enough to stand up to cats that will bully him. He is currently on a monthly dose of revolution to treat/prevent skin irritations. He will let you pet him but is a little sensitive in spots so he could nip at you to let you know where he doesn't like to be touched.

Decibel loves to make biscuits but does not retract his claws when doing so. Therefore, families with young children or inexperienced cat owners may not be a good fit for him. He likes everyone, including the laid-back senior dog he shares a foster home with.

This sweet friendly boy is an adult kitty in age, but a kitten at heart. Decibel will entertain himself by playing with whatever catches his interest, even if it isn't a cat toy. He also likes to lay on the couch or bed to be near his human family. He and his new little foster bro, Cheesy Puff, have become fast friends. They play, chase, wrestle, and nap together.

Decibel is FELV positive, so he can only live with other FELV positive kitties. He might be content as an only kitty, but he would probably be happiest joining a family with a friendly FELV kitty who also wants a playmate.

To meet Decibel, Cheesy Puff, and other adoptable Purr Partners kitties at one of our weekend adoptathon events, 1) review our adoption policies at https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/policies/ and 2) then apply to become a pre-approved adopter today at https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/cats/For more information or to apply to adopt, please go to: https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/
