Dawson's Story
Meet Dawson, an 8-month-old heartthrob who is absolutely convinced he's the main character-but in the most charming, cinematic way. He's curious, playful, and just dramatic enough to keep life interesting. One moment he's sprinting after toys like an action hero, and the next he's draped across your lap like a fainting Victorian poet who needs "a moment."

Dawson also has big career ambitions. He's certain he's destined to become a world-famous film director. You may not fully understand the artistic message behind his three-hour laser-pointer documentary, but he's hoping you'll greenlight the sequel with treats and applause.

Dawson has experienced two seizure episodes, both occurring within 24 hours of a major transition from his foster home to an adoption location. He was evaluated immediately by our veterinary partners and all systemic causes were ruled out. The episodes were diagnosed as spontaneous epileptic seizures, and there were no further seizures in the month plus following each event. At this time, his veterinary team does not recommend medication and believes these episodes were likely triggered by stress related to the environment change. Future adopters should be aware of this history and plan to discuss medical management with their primary care veterinarian if any seizure activity occurs down the road.

He gets along beautifully with other young, playful cats and truly thrives with feline company. He would love to go home with another friendly kitten or join a household that already has a playful resident cat. A feline buddy is a must for this little filmmaker's happiness.

Dawson is people-friendly, affectionate, and always ready to bring entertainment, cuddles, and a little harmless drama into your home.

Dawson is currently being fostered in Lakewood, Colorado
