Dawn 2025's Story
This gorgeous golden tabby is up for adoption for only $25 right now!

Dawn is soft, she loves to be petted, and loves ti sleep next to you on the couch. She gives cheerful chirps, and when you talk to her and say her name, her head will tilt sideways and her tail will go up in excitement. She plays hard and loves harder. She will push her head into your hand when you are petting her. She loves her head and neck scratched and has perfected the elevator butt technique. She gets along with cats and dogs and doesn't mind sharing the food bowl. She chirps through the house when she hears a can of wet food opening. She is the perfect cat for a quiet home that wants a quiet and loving companion. So why is she still here?

See, Dawn is so very shy. You can't see her personality at events. She had a tough, loud, scary start in life, and she remembers it. She hunkers down and closes her eyes, and hides because hiding has kept her safe. Loud noises are scary, and being picked up is too much. It's scary at adoption events for Dawn, and when she is at PetSmart, she hides in a tiny ball in her little carboard box to where you can only see her little toe-beans so it is hard to see she is even there, and week after week she gets walked past. Dawn is just waiting to be adopted where she can thrive in a home environment where she feels safe and secure.

If you want to be Dawn's forever home, please fill out a cat adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. You can also come and talk to us about Dawn every Saturday from
11:30am-1:30pm
at PetSmart Eastgate. Our cats are fully vetted and require indoor-only homes. All other pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. We will not send cats to homes where they will be declawed, a harmful practice that can cause lifelong physical and behavioral problems. Our cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, combo tested, dewormed and microchipped.
