I'm Darryl and Kitten Angels has now been caring for me for TWO YEARS! I've spent that time in wonderful, loving foster homes ... but I still need a forever home of my very own! I need a person or family that knows an awesome cat when they see one and isn't intimidated by some special needs.<br/><br/>I'm a handsome 3 year old buff tabby with thick, plush fur and an elegant swirl on my side.<br/><br/>I love everyone and make friends everywhere I go. I come when I'm called, love to cuddle, and will climb right up on your lap or lie against you. I'm very social, definitely an extrovert. I LOVE wand toys. I also enjoy burrowing under covers and sometimes I do this on my own.<br/><br/>I have allergies so I'll probably always have a bit of a stuffy nose (my foster family affectionately calls me ""Snuffy"") and you can see in the photos how sometimes my eye tears a little. It doesn't bother me in the least and I'm not contagious. I've been getting an allergy shot once in a while so I need an owner who either has experience (maybe you had a diabetic cat) or isn't afraid to learn. I eat only dry food, a special diet that's good for my allergies, so feeding me is easy.<br/><br/>I'm neutered and up-to-date on shots. I tested negative for FIV at first but later tested positive. Did you know that FIV+ cats have the same average lifespan as FIV- cats? FIV is not contagious to humans or dogs. Among cats, it is only transmitted through deep bite wounds. I have proven myself to be GREAT with other cats, very friendly and non-aggressive to all the cats I have lived with in foster homes and met at adoption clinics. So I am considered an excellent candidate to live with other cats, even FIV- ones, with a good, slow introduction.<br/><br/>In addition to liking other cats, I'm great with kids and cat-friendly dogs. We rely solely on fostering, volunteers, donations, and adoption fees. An adoption fee of $175.00 must be paid at the time of adoption by either cash or check. All of our adoptable animals are assessed in foster homes, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV. Medical records will be released with the adopted pet.
