Darla's Story

After 10 years in a loving home, sweet Darla found herself back in our care when her beloved person could no longer care for her due to dementia. It’s a heartbreaking twist for a cat who’s known nothing but love her whole life — and through it all, Darla has remained gentle, kind, and full of quiet grace.

We’re still getting to know her as she adjusts to this big change, but so far, she’s shown us what a tender soul she is. Darla loves calm voices, soft pets, and cozy spots to curl up in. She carries the calm wisdom of a senior cat and the warmth of one who’s been loved deeply.

We have so much hope for Darla — and we know that somewhere out there is a new family ready to love her just as much as she’ll love them
