DARLA's Story

Darla is a very sweet girl who is ready to steal your heart! She is equal parts playful and cuddly. Whether it is by herself or interactively, with toys, boxes, or just bits of trash - Darla LOVES to play. Darla hasn't met a toy that she won't bat across the room, pounce on, or carry around the house in her mouth. She is also a climber and enjoys watching everyone from the highest perch she can find. She is prone to some zoomies - but what kitty isn't! Darla also loves treats and food. She's tried all kinds of food and treats and has never failed to lick her plate clean. She is also very affectionate and loves being petted and receiving belly rubs - she is a purring machine and the CEO of the biscuit making factory! Darla hasn't show any interest in being held, but does love sitting next to you for pets, giving head butts and following you around. Darla does a little talking - but usually just when she wants affection or is unsure about something. Darla is long and skinny and has GIGANTIC paws. Don't let her RBF fool you - she is as sweet as can be. Darla is a little skittish about loud noises and new sounds, and would probably do best in a quieter home with no kids and plenty of space to roam. Darla likes other cats and would likely do well with another nice and respectful kitty her age. She has no issues using the litter box. Darla will make a loving companion who will thrive in a home ready to give her the affection she deserves. She's ready for a soft couch and a kind human. Attached are some new photos and videos. Darla is such a delight! I also wanted to let you know that I’m not sure if her age was reported by whomever surrendered her - but I don’t think Darla is 8 - my guess is that she’s much younger. I think she has too much energy to be 8. Let me know if you need anything else and I will make sure we routinely send new photos of Darla. Please let me know if there’s anything else we need to be doing to help Darla find her forever home.
