DAPHNE's Story

DAPHNE is a 4 to 5 month old female CALICO DOMESTIC LONGHAIR kitten who is looking for a home with someone who wants a lap kitten to love. <br/><br/>Daphne is fully vetted. She is spayed. Has her rabies and distemper vaccine, FeLV/FIV negative, and microchipped. <br/><br/>Daphne came into rescue in December the night before the big snowstorm. When Daphne came into rescue she was found to have a broken jaw. Luckily, because she is a young kitten her jaw healed quickly with treatment. <br/><br/>Daphne is an incredible kitten. She is super friendly. Loves attention. Loves to be held! She also enjoys playing with toys and watching the birds and squirrels outside. <br/><br/>Because Daphne had a broken jaw she is still eating canned food 3x a day. And is fed dry food with very tiny nuggets. Daphne can go to a home as an only kitten if someone is home a lot, or with other gentle cats. No cats that want to play rough and wrestle. Daphne is not fond of dogs. Daphne should be fine with older respectful children. <br/><br/>ADOPTION FEE $75. Specialty Purebred Cat Rescue's Adoption Policy
We rarely get kittens of any breed. If we do, they will be listed in the “Available for Adoption” section. We can only hold cats for ONE WEEK. IF YOU ARE NOT READY TO ADOPT A CAT NOW, PLEASE WAIT TO FILL OUT AN APPLICATION. Please remember that our cats are located in various foster homes in 6 different midwestern states (Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota). We do adopt to people out of state but WE DO NOT SHIP OR TRANSPORT OUR CATS. You must pick up the cat in person at the foster home. You cannot send a representative. So, you would be looking at a road trip or plane ride. If you cannot do this, please DO NOT APPLY. We do not keep a waiting list for any breeds. Please be sure that you are interested in a specific cat on the “Available for Adoption” page before filling out an application. YOU MUST FILL OUT EVERY SPACE OF THE ADOPTION APPLICATION OR IT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED OR PROCESSED. Please note: we will contact your vet to make sure your other animals are fixed and up to date on vaccinations. Please notify your vet and give them permission to release your information to SPCR.
