Daphne's Story

Daphne was brought into a local ER because she recently had a litter of kittens who were diagnosed with panleukopenia. Daphne tested negative, but their previous owner elected to have them euthanized. Thankfully, they were surrendered to the emergency veterinary hospital instead, which gave us the opportunity to step in and give these her the second chance she deserved.<br/><br/>Despite everything she's been through, Daphne is incredibly sweet, and loving, enjoys being pet and be by her person.<br/><br/>We do require that all pets in applicants home are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccine series, and heartworm prevention.<br/><br/>Apply at www.pawsitivehope.org. To speed up the application process, please send vaccine records and verification of heartworm prevention of current pets to adoptions@pawsitivehope.org.<br/>In addition, please call your veterinarian to give approval for us to contact them about current pets medical care.

Vaccinations/Veterinary Care: Not only do we ensure that all animals are current on their vaccinations and heartworm/worm/flea prevention as well as spayed/neutered when they leave our care, we require that any existing animals in their adopted home are kept up to date in all of these areas as well. To help the adoption process move more quickly: Please email veterinary records to adoptions@pawsitivehope.org and type the name of the animal you wish to adopt in the subject line. In addition, call your current veterinarian and let them know that we may contact them for a reference.
